Key Responsibilities:

Safe Passenger Transportation

• Transport passengers safely and efficiently along assigned routes and schedules
• Comply with all federal, state, and local traffic laws and transportation regulations
• Maintain punctual service while prioritizing passenger safety
• Monitor weather, traffic, and road conditions to ensure safe vehicle operation
• Utilize defensive driving techniques and adhere to established safety practices

Customer Service & Passenger Support

• Provide friendly, professional, and respectful service to all passengers
• Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles when needed
• Operate wheelchair lifts, ramps, and other accessibility equipment safely
• Properly secure wheelchairs and mobility devices according to safety procedures
• Answer questions regarding routes, schedules, and transportation services
• Communicate service updates and relevant travel information clearly and effectively

Vehicle Inspections & Maintenance

• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Check brakes, lights, tires, mirrors, safety equipment, and other essential components
• Report maintenance concerns, mechanical issues, and safety hazards promptly
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable vehicle interior and exterior
• Help ensure vehicles remain operational and ready for daily service

Compliance & Recordkeeping

• Accurately complete driver logs and required transportation documentation
• Report and document accidents, incidents, or operational concerns as needed
• Maintain passenger counts and service records when required
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) Endorsement
• Strong commitment to safety and responsible vehicle operation
• Clean driving record and professional driving history
• Previous experience operating passenger vehicles, shuttle buses, transit vehicles, or similar transportation equipment preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong customer service mindset
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of vehicle inspections and transportation safety regulations

Physical Requirements

• Ability to assist passengers and safely operate accessibility equipment
• Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 45 pounds when necessary
• Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a vehicle
• Ability to work in various weather and roadway conditions
• Ability to bend, reach, climb, and perform detailed vehicle inspections

Schedule

Split Shift

Morning Shift: 5:00 AM - 8:00 AMEvening Shift: 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Availability for both shifts is required.
