Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is hiring immediately for a dependable CDL Class A Driver to handle overnight tire deliveries from Tulsa. This position operates dedicated routes to Dallas, TX and Little Rock, AR, delivering tires to customers and distribution locations while maintaining safe, professional, and efficient transportation practices.
The ideal candidate has a valid Class A CDL, is comfortable working overnight 12-hour shifts, and has a strong commitment to DOT compliance, safety, and dependable attendance. Previous tire delivery or freight experience is a plus.
Required Experience & Skills
Valid CDL Class A license required
Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles on dedicated overnight routes
Clean driving record preferred
Ability to work 5:00 PM 5:00 AM night shifts
Knowledge of DOT regulations and commercial driving safety requirements
Ability to complete required delivery paperwork accurately
Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
Strong communication and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and maintain assigned delivery schedules
Comfortable performing loading and unloading responsibilities as required
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Operate a Class A commercial vehicle on assigned delivery routes
Run dedicated routes from Tulsa to Dallas, Texas and Little Rock, Arkansas
Deliver tires to customers and distribution locations safely and on schedule
Load and unload tires as required
Verify products and quantities before completing deliveries
Properly secure loads before transportation
Complete required delivery paperwork and documentation
Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and company driving policies
Communicate delays, vehicle concerns, or delivery issues to appropriate personnel
Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with customers and distribution personnel
Keep assigned equipment clean and organized
Follow all company safety procedures and transportation requirements
Perform additional driving and delivery responsibilities as assigned
Dedicated Routes
Drivers will primarily operate overnight routes including:
Tulsa, OK? Dallas, TX
Tulsa, OK? Little Rock, AR
Customer and distribution locations along assigned routes
Candidates must be comfortable with regular interstate driving and overnight schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous Class A delivery driving experience
Tire delivery experience
Freight or distribution experience
Dedicated route experience
Previous overnight commercial driving experience
Experience loading and unloading freight
Strong knowledge of DOT documentation and safety requirements
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit and drive for extended periods
Ability to safely enter and exit commercial vehicles throughout the shift
Ability to load, unload, lift, carry, push, and move tires as required
Frequent physical activity during loading and delivery stops
Ability to safely perform vehicle inspections
Comfortable working an extended overnight schedule
Work Environment
Combination of interstate commercial driving and customer/distribution deliveries
Regular overnight travel between Tulsa, Dallas, and Little Rock
12-hour night-shift schedule
Hands-on tire loading and unloading may be required
Safety-sensitive transportation environment requiring consistent DOT compliance and safe driving practices
