CDL Class A Driver or CDL Class B Driver

The CDL Class A or CDL Class B Driver plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of freight across various routes including short haul, long haul, local deliveries, interstate, and over-the-road (OTR) assignments. This position demands adherence to safety regulations, routine vehicle inspections, and proficient handling of freight while maintaining communication with dispatch and clients. Drivers may experience variable travel requirements ranging from minimal to frequent overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles safely across assigned routes.
• Perform weekly vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
• Handle freight and non-freight loads with care and compliance.
• Comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
• Plan and execute routes including short haul, long haul, local, interstate, and OTR deliveries.
• Maintain effective communication with dispatch and clients.
• Practice defensive driving techniques to minimize risk on the road.
• Manage travel schedules including occasional to frequent overnight stays as required.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL Class A or Class B license.
