    Summary/Objective:

    The CDL Class A truck driver position is expected to work as a valued member of the tool room operations. This job will primarily consist of local vehicle operations involving positioning and moving trucks and trailers on and between maintenance facilities. On occasion, the deliveries will be required throughout the region.

    Essential Functions:

    • Operate company-owned and leased trucks up to 80k lbs. to facilitate shipping and receiving operations
    • Operate trucks for the delivery, pickup and relocation of products and materials
    • Perform required "user maintenance" and provide required reports
    • Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations
    • Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs
    • Maintain and protect all property in excellent condition
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Supervisory Responsibility: No

    Required:

    • 1-year previous tractor trailer driving experience
    • Class A Commercial Drivers License
    • Must be 21 Years old
    • Must be able to operate forklift and lull
    • Meet or exceed the medical standards of the U.S. Department of Transportation
    • Lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds
    • Knowledge of trade related hand tools
    • Must adhere to all company policy and procedures
    • Must be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assigned, to include working varying schedules that may require extended hours (evenings, weekends and holidays) and require client-specific safety standards

    The work environment and physical demands required would be representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, and may include, but are not limited to the following:

    Work Environment:

    • May work in varying temperatures; both inside and outside, including inclement weather, heat, humidity, cold and dampness
    • May work in areas with exposure to moderate/high noise levels
    • May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including dust
    • May be required to work in confined spaces or from high heights

    Physical Demands:

    • This role routinely uses construction equipment such as heavy machinery, hand and power tools.
    • While performing duties of the job the employee may work aloft, climb, bend, pull, reach overhead, stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms
    • Must be able to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable/wires and see close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus

    Travel:

    • May require travel (typically not overnight)

    Preferred:

    • Experience in a construction industry
    • High school diploma or GED equivalent
    • Prior Military experience
