Walker Building Group, LLC is seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL Class A Dump Truck Driver to join our growing team. This is a key position within our field operations, responsible for safely transporting materials and equipment while supporting underground utility construction projects throughout Middle Tennessee.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A dump truck (single- or tandem-axle) and other CDL-required vehicles.
• Transport materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites.
• Load and unload equipment from trucks and trailers.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain inspection reports and ensure vehicles remain in safe operating condition.
• Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and job site safety requirements.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or safety concerns immediately.
• Assist construction crews with general labor and miscellaneous job site tasks as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized truck, inside and out.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Minimum of 5 years of verifiable Class A dump truck driving experience.
• Clean driving record with no recent moving violations.
• Construction industry experience preferred.
• Heavy equipment operation or maintenance experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with team members.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Frequently lift and move materials weighing 50+ pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.

Schedule

• Monday – Friday
• 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Approximately 48–55 hours per week

Compensation Disclaimer

The annual compensation range advertised is an estimated earning potential based on a typical 50-hour workweek and includes the average quarterly bonus earned by our Class A CDL Drivers. Actual earnings may vary based on hours worked, weather conditions, workload, project schedules, and overall business needs. Overtime opportunities and bonus payouts are not guaranteed.
