Lancaster, PA$28.50–$32.00/hourDirect Hire | Full-Time | 40 Hours/WeekHome Daily | Daily Driving RequiredWe are seeking a CDL-A Flatbed Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for safely transporting precast concrete wall panels to construction sites and assisting with unloading activities. The ideal candidate will have commercial driving experience, flatbed hauling experience, and the ability to work safely in an active construction environment.
Responsibilities
Operate a diesel-powered tractor with a flatbed trailer to safely transport materials to job sites.
Secure loads using chains, straps, binders, and protective corner guards to ensure safe transportation.
Drive loaded trailers to construction sites and coordinate with crane operators for proper trailer placement.
Assist with unloading operations by removing chains and preparing wall panels for crane placement.
Perform jobsite rigging duties, including connecting wall panels to crane equipment and following proper safety procedures.
Return empty trailers to the yard after completing deliveries.
Maintain DOT-required logbooks, fuel logs, and complete daily pre-trip inspections.
Inspect, clean, lubricate, and perform basic maintenance on trucks, trailers, and equipment.
Follow all company safety policies, DOT regulations, and jobsite requirements.
Qualifications
CurrentCDL Class A license required.
No E restriction — Must be able to operate a manual transmission. CDL holders with an E restriction (automatic transmission restriction) will not be considered.
Clean MVR record required.
Experience operating commercial tractor-trailers.
Two or more years of flatbed hauling experience preferred.
Experience securing loads with chains, straps, and binders preferred.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical jobsite tasks.
Ability to climb ladders while carrying materials and equipment.
Ability to read a tape measure accurately and follow construction drawings.
Ability to understand and follow crane hand signals.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with team members and customers.
Ability to recognize safety hazards and make sound decisions while operating equipment.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in residential or commercial construction.
Experience working with precast concrete materials.
Previous rigging or crane-related experience.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
