Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable CDL Class A Driver with Hazmat Endorsement to join a local Tulsa company. This position is responsible for filling, loading, and delivering compressed gas cylinders to local customers while ensuring safe transportation, regulatory compliance, and excellent customer service.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers looking for a weekday schedule, local routes, and the convenience of being home every night.
Required Experience & Skills
Valid CDL Class A driver's license required
Hazmat endorsement required
Clean driving record
Experience operating manual transmission trucks
Ability to safely lift, move, and handle compressed gas cylinders
Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Commitment to workplace safety and customer service
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Fill, load, and deliver compressed gas cylinders to local customers
Secure loads properly to ensure safe transportation
Complete delivery paperwork, driver logs, and required documentation accurately
Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Follow all DOT regulations, Hazmat requirements, and company safety policies
Safely operate manual transmission commercial vehicles
Maintain professional communication with customers during deliveries
Report vehicle maintenance issues, delivery concerns, or safety hazards promptly
Assist with additional warehouse or delivery duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience delivering industrial gases or hazardous materials
Experience with local route delivery operations
Familiarity with compressed gas cylinder handling and safety procedures
Strong customer service and communication skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move heavy gas cylinders throughout the workday
Frequent climbing on and off delivery vehicles, bending, reaching, and walking
Ability to safely secure loads and perform physical delivery tasks
Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions while wearing required PPE
Work Environment
Local delivery routes throughout the Tulsa area
Industrial warehouse and customer job site environments
Exposure to compressed gas cylinders, commercial vehicles, loading equipment, and outdoor conditions
Safety-focused workplace with strict DOT and Hazmat compliance standards
