About the Role:
GL Transportation Inc. is an independent linehaul contractor with FedEx Ground. We are looking for a skilled and dependable CDL Class A Truck Driver to join our growing team in Greensboro, NC. We have immediate openings for dedicated OTR team runs. Runs typically leave on Tuesday/Wednesday and get back Saturday/Sunday. Responsibilities:

• Operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight safely and efficiently
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of loads to designated destinations
• Maintain detailed driver logs and records using ELD (Electronic Logging Device)
• Communicate proactively with operations manager regarding routes, delays, and delivery status
• Drop and hook operation 
• Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic and transportation laws

Requirements:

• Valid CDL Class A license and doubles (T) endorsement required
• No felonies in background
• Must meet DOT physical and medical certification standards
• Clean driving record with a strong commitment to safety 
• Familiarity with ELD systems and Hours of Service (HOS) regulations
• Reliable, self-motivated, and professional demeanor
• We have three ways you can qualify to drive for us: 
  • One year of verifiable CDL Class A driving experience
  • FedEx-approved CDL driving school completion and six months of verifiable driving experience
  • ELD Program - FedEx approved CDL driving school completion and no driving experience necessary. We will pair you with one of our lead drivers to get your experience documented with FedEx.
