    Description

    CDL Class A Truck Driver 

    Pay range: $30-35/hr 

    The CDL Class A Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of equipment and materials to customer locations and company facilities. This role ensures all loads are properly secured, deliveries are completed accurately, and all applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety standards are followed. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and committed to providing exceptional service while representing the company professionally. 

    What You'll Do: 

    • Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle, including flatbed trailers, in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations. 
    • Transport equipment, materials, and other products to customer and company locations while maintaining delivery schedules. 
    • Inspect vehicles before and after each trip to ensure safe operating condition and report any maintenance concerns promptly. 
    • Properly secure loads to prevent damage during transport and verify cargo is loaded safely and accurately.
    • Safely unload equipment and materials at delivery locations using appropriate procedures and equipment.
    • Obtain required delivery documentation, including customer signatures, electronic confirmations, and warehouse scans.
    • Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, and delivery records in compliance with DOT regulations.
    • Track and report hours of service in accordance with applicable regulations.
    • Communicate effectively with dispatch and internal teams regarding schedules, delays, and delivery updates.
    • Adhere to all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety policies and procedures.
    • Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
    • Perform other duties as assigned. 
     
     
     

    What You Need: 

    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
    • Minimum of two (2) years of tractor-trailer driving experience preferred.
    • Clean driving record with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
    • Ability to pass all required pre-employment screenings, including DOT drug and alcohol testing, background check, and physical examination.
    • Thorough knowledge of DOT regulations and safe commercial driving practices.
    • Experience operating flatbed trailers and securing loads safely.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
    • Ability to manage time effectively and meet delivery schedules.
    • Strong communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
    • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
    • Ability to climb, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and secure cargo throughout the workday.
    • Ability to enter and exit commercial vehicles multiple times per day.
    • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
    • Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance.
