We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL Class A (Night Shift) driver to transport materials and equipment to and from active construction project sites. This role operates a flatbed tractor-trailer and is responsible for safe load securement, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery in accordance with DOT and company standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, accountability, and a strong commitment to safety.
What You’ll Do
Operate a flatbed tractor-trailer to transport materials, structural components, and equipment to and from job sites.
Safely load, secure, tarp, and unload cargo in compliance with DOT cargo securement regulations (49 CFR Part 393).
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with FMCSA requirements.
Maintain accurate ELD logs, inspection reports, and delivery documentation.
Navigate active construction sites safely and follow site traffic control procedures.
Comply with all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety standards.
Coordinate delivery schedules with project management and site personnel.
Report mechanical issues, delays, or safety concerns promptly.
Support yard or site logistics operations as needed between deliveries.
Represent the company professionally at all job sites.
What You Bring
Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record.
Current DOT medical certification.
Demonstrated knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
Experience operating flatbed trailers and securing loads.
Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
Dependability, accountability, and reliable attendance.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with field teams.
Professional communication and documentation skills.
Flexibility to work hours based on project demands.
Education | Experience
CDL Class A license.
Current DOT medical card.
Authorization to work in the United States.
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and participate in random DOT drug and alcohol testing.
2+ years of flatbed driving experience.
Experience delivering materials to active construction sites.
Experience securing steel, structural components, or heavy equipment.
