Looking for a local dump truck driver with a strong work ethic to join our small family oriented company hauling various materials and aggregates along the Wasatch front and surrounding areas. Home nightly with great benefits and working environment.Responsibilities
- Transport goods and construction materials over land to and from pits or job sites
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and notify dispatch of any mechanical issues
- Plan routes and be safe
- Document and log loading and unloading times and weights as well as notate any delays or changes to workday and retain fuel receipts
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Safely maneuver trucks into loading & unloading positions at pits or job sites
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Report defects, accidents or violations
Qualifications
- Proven work experience as a truck driver
- Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, CB, etc.)
- Ability to drive long hours
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- No recent moving or driving violations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
- Valid Class A-B CDL for a Minimum of 2 years
