CDL Driver

Our client is a construction company operating across the state of North Carolina seeking an experienced CDL Driver to join their team in Durham. This role involves hauling equipment and materials throughout the state using a pickup truck with a 24-foot trailer. The ideal candidate is a dependable, safety-conscious driver with a background in construction or heavy equipment transport.

Job Responsibilities -

- Transport construction materials and equipment statewide using a pickup truck and 24-foot trailer.

- Ensure all cargo is properly loaded and secured following DOT and company safety guidelines.

- Perform thorough vehicle inspections before and after each trip to confirm safe operating condition.

- Communicate with site supervisors and project teams to align on delivery timing and site access.

- Keep detailed and accurate records of trips, hours, and documentation as required by state and federal law.

- Follow all applicable traffic laws and transportation regulations across diverse job sites and road conditions throughout NC.

- Proactively identify and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.





Job Requirements -

- Active CDL with a clean motor vehicle record.

- Hands-on experience towing a 24-foot trailer with a pickup truck.

- Experience with load securement methods and best practices for heavy cargo.

- Working knowledge of DOT compliance standards and driver regulations.

- Demonstrated ability to safely handle and transport heavy construction-related equipment.

- Strong organizational and time management skills to support fast-paced, project-driven schedules.

- Willingness and ability to travel to job sites across the state of North Carolina.

- Background in construction, equipment hauling, or a comparable industry preferred
