The Callaway County Road & Bridge Department is accepting applications for a full-time Maintenance Worker I / CDL Driver position.

Callaway County Road & Bridge is located at 5901 County Road 302 in Fulton, MO 65251. The normal hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:00am - 3:30pm. However, emergency situations, such as inclement weather, may require employees to perform outside of normal working hours.

The starting salary range for this position is $32,000 $33,280 annually ($15.38 $16.00 per hour) with a full benefits package, including free health insurance, two retirement programs, paid vacation/sick/holiday leave, free life insurance, and more.

Responsibilities

The job duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Operating a single axle or tandem axle dump truck.
• Operating small to large sized motor vehicles and a variety of equipment to haul materials and support construction, repair, maintenance, and replacement of County roads.
• Performing snow removal activities.
• Mowing along County roads.
• Assisting with loading, securing, and unloading materials and equipment.
• Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment; referring defects or repairs to supervisor.
• Receiving special assignments from Road & Bridge Foreman.
• Other duties, as needed.

• Applicant must possess a valid Class B CDL with Air Brake endorsement.
• Applicant must pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Applicant must be authorized to drive a commercial vehicle by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).
