COMPANY: IRON EAGLE INDUSTRIAL SERVICES POSITION: CDL Driver (Hazmat/Industrial Services)LOCATION: Hastings, MN TYPE: Full Time, Hourly COMPENSATION: $35/hr++ (Negotiable, Depending on Experience) ABOUT USIron Eagle specializes in industrial services, focusing on industrial cleaning, emergency spill response, and waste management. We are expanding our operations and seeking CDL DRIVERS to join our team! We have locations in Isanti, Hastings, and St. Paul, MN. You will report to a "home base" location but travel to all shop locations is expected. Some travel is required. OVERVIEWWe are seeking CDL Drivers to operate specialized equipment for environmental remediation and hazardous waste management. You will operate a variety of heavy and light duty trucks/work equipment at our customer sites; including vacuum trucks, guzzlers, and roll offs. This role is responsible for performing driving and non-driving duties on & off customer sites associated with hazardous waste clean-up and transport. This role combines professional driving with technical expertise in handling potentially dangerous materials and operating complex vacuum/pumping systems. REQUIREMENTSCDL (Class A)Manual, Tanker, and HazMat Endorsements Must successfully complete a background check and DOT Drug Test & Physical Examination as per OSHA and FMCSA regulatory guidelines Must adhere to on-call schedule (for emergency response) and occasional overnight travelRESPONSIBILITIESConduct pre-trip inspectionsPerform light maintenance and repairsLoad/unload Vac Trucks, Transports, and Rolloffs, etc. Occasional long-distance hauling (approx. 10%)Load and secure heavy equipmentMaintain proper placarding and labeling of vehiclesComplete all necessary documentation for DOT/MnDOT, etc. Transportation & Equipment Operation:Operate Class A/B commercial vehicles including vacuum trucks, pump trucks, roll-off trucks, and specialized hazmat transport vehiclesNavigate to industrial sites, refineries, chemical facilities, and emergency response locationsPerform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on complex equipment systemsMaintain accurate driver logs and equipment maintenance recordsHazardous Materials Handling:Transport hazardous waste in compliance with DOT regulations and company safety protocolsLoad and unload various waste streams including liquids, sludges, and contaminated materialsProperly secure and manifest hazardous cargo for transportTechnical Equipment Operations:Set up and operate industrial vacuum trucks with high-capacity pumping systemsConnect appropriate hoses, fittings, and manifolds for different tank configurationsOperate positive displacement pumps, centrifugal pumps, and compressed air systemsTroubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform basic field repairsEmergency Response Services:Respond to oil spills, chemical releases, and environmental incidentsDeploy containment booms, absorbent materials, and recovery equipmentWork extended hours during emergency situations and weather eventsCoordinate with incident commanders and regulatory agencies on-siteTank and Vessel Cleaning:Enter confined spaces following proper safety procedures and permittingOperate high-pressure washing systems and specialized cleaning equipmentRemove sludges, scale, and hazardous residues from storage tanks and process vesselsSet up ventilation and atmospheric monitoring equipmentSHIFT/SCHEDULEStandard shift time is 7am, however, due to the nature of our business some flexibility is required (there will be occasional start times before or after 7am. You may also work more than 8 hours/day depending on project/client needs. You will be notified of schedule changes in a timely manner). This is a Full Time position, however some weeks may ebb & flow between full time, overtime, and slightly less than 40 hours depending on current job needs and priorities. ON CALLDue to the nature of our business in industrial services, you are expected to adhere to our On-Call Rotation Schedule, which requires you to commit to at least 1 On-Call week per month (Thursday – Thursday). Our goal is to keep the On-Call schedule limited to one week per month, however, some flexibility may be required in busy seasons and emergency events. We do our best to work with employees on their work/life schedulesTRAVELDue to the nature of our business in emergency response, you can expect some overnight travel. Travel is usually scheduled, however, some emergency spill response requires unscheduled travel as well.
