CDL Class A Driver- Jackson, MS
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour (Based on Experience) Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Some routes may require an earlier start time of 5:00 AM depending on delivery schedules, route duration, and unloading requirements.
Position Overview: We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL Class A Driver to join our team. This position involves transporting materials to customer job sites using a flatbed truck. The ideal candidate will have experience operating manual transmission vehicles, securing loads, and safely delivering materials while providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities: Safely operate a CDL Class A flatbed truck to transport materials to customer locations. Load, secure, transport, and assist with unloading materials as needed. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time. Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policies. Verify load security and inspect tie-downs throughout routes. Complete required paperwork and delivery documentation. Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
Requirements: Valid CDL Class A License. Experience operating a manual transmission required. Previous flatbed driving experience required. Strapping down materials. Clean driving record. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with unloading materials when necessary. Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety procedures. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Preferred Qualifications: Previous construction material or building supply delivery experience. Experience securing loads with straps, chains, and binders.
