Position OverviewAt our warehouse and outside yard, our drivers are responsible for material pickups and deliveries to customers in a safe and timely manner. Drivers also work with our warehouse team to organize, rotate stock, assist in maintenance of equipment, and load and unload material. Responsibilities of the PositionOperates a truck according to applicable state and federal transportation lawsTransports loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulationsDeftly maneuvers truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas; follows loading crew signalsAssists with loading and unloading of goods and materials, using specialized equipment when warranted; unloads empty skids and returns all equipment to the designated areaMaintains signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork; delivers documentation to shipping office or other appropriate staff when the delivery route is completeKeeping delivery vehicles clean and looking professionalKeeping warehouse manager aware of maintenance items needed on vehicles and assisting with any repair and maintenance of equipmentOrganizing products and rotating stock as product is receivedDaily upkeep with products to maintain a clean and organized warehouse and yardJob Requirements/QualificationsStrong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery pointsAbility to remain focused in a busy environmentHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum, valid Class B CDLPhysical RequirementsMust adhere to all safety rules at all timesMust be able to lift 55+ pounds at a timeWillingness to work long hours, particularly during high peak business season, sometimes in undesirable ranges of climate and weather conditionsFrequent exposure to heavy equipmentMay need to work in all weather conditionsMust be able to travel frequentlyProlonged periods of sitting in a trailer cabPay and BenefitsWe offer a competitive starting pay rate based on experience.
