Job Summary

The Driver Recruiter is responsible for proactively sourcing CDL driver candidates and developing a positive candidate experience from the initial application through offer acceptance. This position will utilize driver networks, industry events, AI functions, Tenstreet, CDL schools, etc. in order to develop a driver candidate pipeline.

The Driver Recruiter will collaborate internally with marketing, management and IT to develop a web presence, social media presence and the use of technologies to effectively attract strong candidates.

The Driver Recruiter reports to the Talent Acquisition Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop a strong understanding and appreciation of the industry, company, and job opportunities.
• Review, schedule, screen, qualify and submit driver candidates to the hiring manager.
• Process driver candidates through the Clearinghouse and Tenstreet.
• Review MVR, Clearinghouse and Tenstreet reports and qualify candidates based on hiring criteria/eligibility
• Utilize brand, company culture and benefit packages to promote interest in job offerings and career opportunities.
• Build social media presence and content (Indeed, Tenstreet, and appropriate recruiting platforms) to target driver candidates based on job function, region, skills and other criteria.
• Regularly network and outreach to potential candidates and pipeline organizations building relationships.
• Work with hiring managers to understand current talent needs and anticipate future needs.
• Facilitate candidate review and moving through the interview process in a timely fashion.
• Track and analyze results of talent initiatives to share and improve the impact of efforts.
• Collaborate with HR leaders to drive change and success through technology solutions (AI, Tenstreet).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Business Administration or Human Resources required.
• Experience recruiting for a multi-state, multi-facility environment required.
• Minimum 5 years full life cycle recruiting
• Minimum of 3 years focused on driver recruitment.
• Strong organization and detail orientation required.
• Expert level ATS experience, Workday highly preferred
• Minimum 1-year Tenstreet experience

• Maintains open and accurate calendar for ATS self-scheduling candidate platform.
• Continually seek ways to improve performance via development of professional skills and personal growth.

• Complete important tasks without being asked.
• Handle unplanned events and changes in schedules.

• Absolute discretion in release of information, either business or personal.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Travel will be <5%
• Physical demands include sitting for extended periods of time while frequently typing, viewing computer screens and use of mouse/keyboard.
• Operation of office equipment to include but not limited to telephones, printers, copiers, and scanners.
• Repetitive motion of data entry, hand, finger wrist motion and dexterity.
• May include filing and handling paperwork may involve reaching, grasping, or bending.
• Light lifting and carrying of office supplies, files, or boxes (generally under 25 lbs.).
• Will require walking and standing during the office hours.
• Good vision for reading and screen use.
• Clear verbal communication and active listening, often over the phone or video calls.
