C. Volden Trucking is a family-owned trucking company based in Readstown, Wisconsin, providing dependable hauling services throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest. We are seeking a safety-minded CDL Dump Truck Driver to operate quad axle dump trucks on construction and material hauling projects.
This position is ideal for a dependable commercial driver who takes pride in operating equipment safely, providing excellent service, and working as part of a team.
Compensation
$25.00–$50.00 per hour
Hourly pay is based on experience, qualifications, and project assignment. Prevailing wage opportunities are available on qualifying jobs.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a quad axle dump truck on construction and hauling projects.
- Transport gravel, aggregate, asphalt, soil, and other materials to customer and job sites.
- Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and load documentation.
- Follow established delivery schedules while communicating effectively with dispatch and customers.
- Help identify maintenance needs and keep assigned equipment clean and in good operating condition.
- Comply with all company safety policies and applicable DOT regulations.
Schedule
- Full-time seasonal position
- Overtime opportunities available during the construction season
- Most drivers return home daily
- Occasional overnight travel may be required depending on project location
- Some positions may allow drivers to keep their assigned truck at home
Whenever practical, drivers are assigned the same truck to promote equipment familiarity and consistent care.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Ability to meet DOT medical certification requirements
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug testing
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical duties associated with the position
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and dependable attendance
Additional Opportunity
We are also seeking drivers who are interested in working on longer-term projects outside the local area. Housing arrangements may be available for qualifying assignments and will be discussed during the hiring process.
