Position Summary The primary purpose of the CDL/Lowboy Driver is to operate a truck and trailer and to safely transport construction and other heavy equipment to and from different job sites.Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesAbility to operate a lowboy truck and trailer to and from different job sites.Ability to operate a service truck when needed.Maintenance of company vehicles, equipment, and machinery.Keep job sites clean of all unused/waste materials and ensure all vehicles, equipment, and machinery are stored in a safe and secure manner.Ability to load and unload equipment safely and efficiently at various locations.Ensure all payloads are loaded securely before moving to ensure safety and to comply with company and DOT standards.Must be able to comply with and follow all company and DOT requirements and regulations.Ensure the practice of safety standards in accordance with company policies, DOT, and OSHA.Perform all other tasks and follow instructions as directed by direct supervisors.Workdays & Shifts Must be available to work varied shifts (days, nights, weekends)Willingness to travel for extended periods of time.Education/Certifications/LicensesValid Class A CDL with a Tanker Endorsement – Required.Up-to-date DOT Medical Card – Required.Experience & KnowledgeTwo (2) years' experience as a CDL/Lowboy Driver – Required.Mechanical aptitude – Required.Heavy Haul Experience – RequiredOther RequirementsMust be a minimum of 21 years of age or older.Ability to pass pre-employment drug screens & background checks, including MVR.Must be in a union or be willing to join a union.Swank Construction Company, LLC is a well-known and respected leader in the heavy highway construction industry.
