About UsRoxbury Tenants of Harvard Association, Inc. (RTH) is a private 501(c)(3) multi-service nonprofit founded in 1969 by Mission Hill residents and Harvard University students. We are a vibrant, culturally diverse community committed to equity, inclusion, and opportunity for all.Position SummaryRTH is seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL Per Diem Driver and Non CDL Van Driver to provide transportation services for residents and program participants. This role involves operating a 12-passenger, or 22-passenger wheelchair-accessible van, assisting passengers, and ensuring a safe and positive transportation experience.This is a per diem (as-needed) position with flexible, non-guaranteed hours.Key ResponsibilitiesSafely transport residents and program participants in accordance with scheduled routesAssist passengers boarding and exiting the vehicle, including seniors and individuals with disabilitiesConduct daily vehicle safety inspections (interior, exterior, tires, lights, brakes)Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure proper fueling and fluid levelsEnsure compliance with all state and local driving regulationsDocument mileage, trips, and submit receipts/logs as requiredReport accidents, safety concerns, or maintenance issues immediatelySupport routine vehicle maintenance and identify performance concernsFollow all RTH safety procedures and organizational standardsPerform additional duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum age of 25 with High School Diploma or GEDValid CDL Class A or B license (required) Or Valid DLPassenger Endorsement (required)Air Brake Endorsement (required)Clean driving recordStrong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively with a diverse populationComfortable using GPS/navigation toolsCPR/AED and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)Commitment to safety and community servicePhysical RequirementsAbility to sit for extended periods while drivingAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to assist passengers, including securing wheelchairsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and balance as neededSchedulePer diem / on-callFlexible schedule based on program needsHours are not guaranteedCompensationCompetitive hourly rate (based on experience)BenefitsThis is a Per Diem / Temporary position.
