CDL OTR Truck Driver

The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a premier logistics and warehousing organization in Dallas, TX and we are looking to hire an experienced and dependable CDL OTR(Over -the -road) Driver who will be responsible for the safe, compliant, and timely transportation & delivery of freight across designated routes while fulfilling all the DOT responsibilities.<\/span><\/span>

What You’ll Do<\/span><\/span>
<\/p>

Key Responsibilities<\/span><\/span>
<\/p>

• Complete weekly or bi -weekly shuttle runs with a co -driver in a comfortable double -sleeper cab<\/span><\/span>
  <\/li>
• Load and unload freight as part of daily operations (most shipments are pre -packed or pre -crated, with all required handling equipment provided)<\/span><\/span>
  <\/li>
• Safely operate a Class A or Class B commercial vehicle over long distances while ensuring safe and legal operations & compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations always<\/span><\/span>
  <\/li>
• Perform thorough pre -trip and post -trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT regulations<\/span><\/span>
  <\/li>
• Maintain accurate and up -to -date driver logs and records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs)<\/span><\/span>
  <\/li>
• Ensure timely and secure freight deliveries by coordinating effectively with dispatch regarding routes, schedules, and delivery requirements<\/span><\/span>
  <\/li>
• Comply with OSHA and DOT safety regulations, including hours of service requirements & vehicle weight restrictions<\/span><\/span>
  <\/li>
• Promptly report safety incidents, vehicle malfunctions, accidents, delays, or other operational concerns<\/span><\/span>
  <\/li>
• Maintain clear and professional communication with dispatch personnel, clients, and team members as needed<\/span><\/span>
  <\/li>
• Support the safe and efficient transportation of shipments as part of a collaborative team<\/span><\/span>
  <\/li>

  What We Are Looking For<\/span><\/span>

  Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications<\/span><\/span>
  <\/p>

  • Valid CDL Class A or Class B driver's license<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with strong work ethic and willingness to learn<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Ability to successfully pass a DOT physical examination<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Over -the -Road (OTR) driving experience preferred<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations and DOT safety protocols<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Experience using Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs), preferably Samsara<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Ability to travel long distances, work flexible schedules, and stay overnight as required<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform minor truck troubleshooting<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Excellent time management, route planning, navigation, and communication skills<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre -employment background check and required Department of Transportation drug screening<\/span><\/span>
