South X South Waste is seeking an experienced CDL A or B Roll-Off Driver to join our growing team. This position reports to Dispatch and is responsible for safely operating a roll-off truck hauling materials such as C&D waste, brush, scrap, and other jobsite debris.
We are looking for a safety-focused professional who operates equipment responsibly, maintains a professional demeanor with customers and coworkers, and takes pride in delivering quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and comply with FMCSA and DOT regulations
- Safely deliver, swap, and remove roll-off containers at job sites
- Operate hydraulic systems and lifting mechanisms properly and safely
- Complete all required paperwork and daily logs accurately
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform basic daily service checks
- Perform routine preventative maintenance such as oil checks, greasing components, changing filters
- Report all accidents, injuries, or equipment issues immediately
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and wear required PPE at all times
- Assume other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by management.
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Class A or B CDL required
- Minimum 3 years of roll-off truck driving experience required.
- Ability to +/- 60 hours per week to include Saturdays with overtime (hours not guaranteed)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug test
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Able to climb in and out of truck multiple times per day using 3 points of contact
- Able to bend, stoop, and perform full vehicle and container inspections
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
