Role and Responsibilities · Deliver planning lessons prepared by management daily · Give Clear and concise lessons on driving to students · Instruct and Monitor students when using company equipment, to include below 1-7 (1) Maintaining a 3-point contact when entering and exiting the vehicle (2) Drop/Hook trailers from tractor (3) Slide Trailer Tandems (4) Pulling 5th wheel Pin & hood on tractor (5) Dolly up and Down trailer (6) Teach proper Open & Closing of trailer doors (7) Backing · Perform road evaluations and pretests · Observe and Evaluate student’s performance to ensure they are developing at a steady pace · Monitor the progress of students you are accountable for and provide feedback to Management on students work and progress · Keep Accurate records of student’s progress and keep updated as required by law, school, and company policy · Adhere to School/Company policies, rules, and regulations-MUST SET THE EXAMPLE! · Other duties as assigned by management – Please note that this list is not exclusive in nature but are examples of some of the specific requirements to be a CDL Instructor. Qualifications and Education Requirements · Class A CDL for 3 plus years with clean MVR and criminal record. · Knowledge of DOT and FMSCA requirements · Possess Strong Written and Oral communication skills |
