Position Summary:
The Truck Driver is responsible for transporting materials and supplies between company buildings, ensuring safe and efficient deliveries while maintaining compliance with all safety and regulatory guidelines. This role requires independent decision-making, attention to detail, and adherence to company policies regarding load security, cleanliness, and workplace safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to follow instructions, and a commitment to keeping production operations running smoothly.
Job Duties:
- Transport supplies as needed between buildings.
- Load and unload truck independently.
- Ensure all loads are properly secured for safe transportation.
- Move unloaded parts to designated areas per Supervisor's instructions.
- Assist with loading/unloading trucks as needed.
- Transport billets and dies to the forge and unload as necessary.
- Transport parts or equipment to and from vendors or customers as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized loading area and dock.
- Keep the truck clean and in good condition.
- When trucking duties are completed, report to the warehouse building supervisor for further tasks. Perform any additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or group leader.
What you need to be successful:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid ID or Driver’s License
- Ability to stand, bend and walk for extended periods throughout the day
- Be able to life or move at least 40lbs
