LOCATION: This position is based at our Oglala, SD project site but may require travel to other project sites as needed.

ABOUT THE JOB

The Tepa Companies are seeking a CDL Truck Driver for the safe and efficient transport of liquid or bulk materials (e.g., oil, fuel, chemicals, water) to various construction project sites using a designated truck. As a CDL Truck Driver, you must ensure compliance with traffic laws, safety regulations, and company procedures during loading, transport, and unloading operations.

Job Functions:

  • Operate a tanker truck to haul material between off-site fill stations and the project location.
  • Safely fill the tanker ensuring proper volume, secure connections, and spill prevention.
  • Transport to the site following assigned routes and project schedules.
  • Offload into on-site tanks or designated areas using proper procedures and controls.
  • Complete daily pre-trip, post-trip, and in-route inspections; document findings accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness, functionality, and safety of the truck and all associated equipment.
  • Comply with all DOT regulations, site safety rules, environmental guidelines, and company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with site supervisors, equipment operators, and logistics teams.
  • Assist with general site tasks when hauling duties are not required (as needed).

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Valid CDL.
  • Clean driving record.
  • 5+ years’ experience operating tanker trucks or heavy commercial vehicles.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including climbing, lifting hoses, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and back ground check in compliance with federal regulation.
