ProDrivers is currently hiring experienced CDL A Yard Drivers for a great opportunity with Maersk in Philadelphia, PA 19114. This position offers steady hours, weekly pay, overtime opportunities, and daily home time. Drivers will operate an Ottawa yard truck moving dry van trailers and containers throughout the yard in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Pay & Schedule

• $26.00 per hour
• Overtime paid after 40 hours
• Weekly pay
• Home daily

Available Shifts

Day Shift

• Sunday-Wednesday
• 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Day Shift

• Wednesday-Saturday
• 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Night Shift

• Monday-Thursday
• 6:00 PM - 4:30 AM

Mandatory overtime during peak season (October-January)

Job Responsibilities

• Operate an Ottawa yard truck safely and efficiently
• Move dry van trailers and containers throughout the yard
• Complete approximately 30+ trailer moves per shift
• Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and yard safety inspections
• Spot, stage, and reposition trailers as directed
• Maintain accurate inspection and equipment documentation
• Follow all DOT, company, and customer safety procedures
• Work closely with warehouse and transportation personnel

• Yard Movements and Trailer Spotting

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 12 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the last 5 years
• Yard driver, yard jockey, hostler, switcher, or yard truck experience preferred
• Experience moving trailers in a yard environment is a plus
• Ability to safely operate yard equipment and perform trailer spotting activities
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Ability to pass all required pre-employment screenings
• Strong safety record and professional attitude
• Ability to work overtime during peak season as required

CDL A Yard Driver Requirements:

• 12 months of verifiable CDL A tractor-trailer experience within the last 5 years
• Yard switching, hostler, yard jockey, or Ottawa yard truck experience preferred
• Experience must be verified
• Current DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain
• Acceptable MVR and accident history
• Stable work history
