Position Description
The CDO Policy and Governance Writer will support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Chief Data Office (CDO) by developing, maintaining, and institutionalizing enterprise data governance policies, standards, procedures, operating instructions, and implementation guidance necessary to mature NGA's data management capabilities. The individual in this role will collaborate with mission stakeholders, data stewards, governance stakeholders, and leadership to develop and maintain policy and procedural guidance supporting data stewardship, metadata management, data quality, records management, Identity, Credential and Access Management (ICAM), and enterprise data-sharing initiatives. These efforts will help ensure enterprise data governance policies remain current, actionable, compliant, and aligned with NGA objectives and applicable federal and Intelligence Community requirements.

Demonstrated experience at an expert level, developing, maintaining, and institutionalizing enterprise data governance policies, standards, procedures, operating instructions, and implementation guidance necessary to mature data management capabilities.
Demonstrated experience at an expert level, maintaining policy and procedural guidance that supports data stewardship, metadata management, data quality, records management, identity and access management (IAM), and enterprise data-sharing initiatives.
Demonstrated experience in:
creating and maintain policy artifacts, manage policy lifecycle activities
supporting audit remediation efforts
Risk Management activities, including risk identification, documentation, mitigation tracking, governance reviews, and audit finding closure
Strong interpersonal communication skills.

Target Salary Range: $157,800 - $254,500. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, clearance, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
