ICE provides training for inspectors to obtain the following certifications and is invested in their professional growth. Entry-Level – Junior Inspector Experience and Certification Requirements:
Physical Demands This position requires minimal lifting of up to 50 pounds sometimes on a frequent basis. The employee must be able to travel and tour work sites under adverse environmental conditions, including loud noise levels, high dust and dirt, and extreme temperatures. The employee must be able to visually examine construction materials and finished structures and work in various types of weather and field conditions, including heights, uneven terrain, highway traffic, hazards of highway construction sites, and heavy equipment. Expected Hours of Work This position is full-time (40 hours per week). The CEI office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, allowing one unpaid hour for lunch each day. While overtime is generally not anticipated, occasional projects or deadlines may necessitate additional hours, compensated at time and a half. Work schedules may vary based on project demands, some night and weekend work may be required.
