We are searching for an experienced Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) - Senior Inspector to join our team in Forsyth. In this role, you will be responsible developing/maintaining relationships with GDOT, and other transportation agencies involved in winning contracts for CEI services in general Metro Area. This is a great opportunity to produce/manage roadway construction projects and assist in growing the CEI team in our Atlanta.

The successful candidate will:

  • Serve as CEI Senior Project Inspector for key roadway construction projects including interchanges.
  • Develop solutions to complex problems that require a high degree of innovation and ingenuity
  • Provide technical expertise to provide recommendations to keep projects on time and budget
  • Assure effective utilization of engineering and inspection personnel to verify quality project delivery.
  • Employee may perform contract administrative duties such as field measurements of pay items as well as other Department required documentation
  • Work may include participating in Concept Meetings, Field Plan Reviews (Preliminary and/or Final), CPM schedule reviews, project close-out, and other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Support general business development, while ensuring client care and feedback to maintain high quality performance is met.
  • Coordinate with the overall Georgia CEI strategy and assist other PMs in their pursuits
  • Train and Develop construction personnel and CEI team members.
  • Help develop training classes for all construction personnel

Here's what you'll need

Must have five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in transportation engineering in the construction of highways, bridges and related other related construction inspections.

  • Thorough knowledge of materials, methods and equipment used in highway construction.
  • Three (5) years managerial/supervisory experience. (Project leader or lead worker experience will substitute for managerial/supervisory experience.)
  • Expensive knowledge in GDOT Roadway and Bridge construction, engineering policies and procedures
  • Pass GDOT EDST Group 1, 2 and 3 within the first year.

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • Construction engineering and management is preferred.
  • GDOT Worksite Erosion Control Supervisor certification
  • Level 1 A certification

The base salary range for this position is $79,000.00 to $91,520.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
