This position will be in Pensacola, FL.Duties will include but may not be limited to:Traveling to various project sites to conduct inspection and testing dutiesFollowing standard procedures and specifications for documentation and inspection of construction activitiesReading, interpreting, and ensuring compliance with construction plans, specifications, and contractsDaily calculating, reporting, documenting, and communicating verbally and in writingComputing quantities for items such as concrete, asphalt, steel, earthwork, drainage structures, and traffic control devicesOperating company vehicle, computer, and testing equipmentReporting construction progress and issues with engineers, contractors, utilities, and government officials to Senior Field and Administrative personnelDocumenting field changes and as-built plansDocumenting daily diaries and material test reportsWorking in an office or outdoor environment in varying weather conditions as required by the project typeQualificationsWe invite applications from candidates with the following qualifications:High School Diploma or EquivalentOr a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution and ability to obtain the above qualifications in a reasonable amount of time.Two (2) years of experience in construction or construction inspection, preferably on FDOT roadway or bridge projects.Must be able to obtain the following certifications as required by the projects scope of work. Qualifications/certifications for this position may be obtained within six (6) months from the date of hire:CTQP Final Estimates Level IFDOT Advanced Maintenance of Traffic (MOT)CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level ICTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level IFDEP Stormwater Erosion & Sedimentation Control InspectorPreferred:CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level IICTQP Asphalt Roadway Level ICTQP Asphalt Roadway Level IICTQP Pile Driving InspectionCTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection (required for inspection of all drilled shafts including miscellaneous structures such as sign, lighting, and traffic signal structure foundations)Nuclear Radiation SafetyFlorida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and ContractorsMust have valid driver's licenseMust be able to lift 50 lbsBenefits & RewardAt Mott MacDonald, our employees have a stake and a voice in our business, providing them with a direct connection to our success through our personal and group performance bonuses.
