This position will be in Pensacola, FL.Duties will include but may not be limited to:Traveling to various project sites to conduct inspection and testing dutiesFollowing standard procedures and specifications for documentation and inspection of construction activitiesReading, interpreting, and ensuring compliance with construction plans, specifications, and contractsDaily calculating, reporting, documenting, and communicating verbally and in writingComputing quantities for items such as concrete, asphalt, steel, earthwork, drainage structures, and traffic control devicesOperating company vehicle, computer, and testing equipmentReporting construction progress and issues with engineers, contractors, utilities, and government officials to Senior Field and Administrative personnelDocumenting field changes and as-built plansDocumenting daily diaries and material test reportsWorking in an office or outdoor environment in varying weather conditions as required by the project typeQualificationsWe invite applications from candidates with the following qualifications:High School Diploma or EquivalentOr a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution and ability to obtain the above qualifications in a reasonable amount of time.Two (2) years of experience in construction or construction inspection, preferably on FDOT roadway or bridge projects.Must be able to obtain the following certifications as required by the projects scope of work.
