Lauderdale, Florida region. This role will be responsible for providing technical expertise, leadership, and construction engineering inspection support to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contract requirements, quality standards, and schedules.Responsibilities Directing a highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection programPlanning and organizing the work of subordinate and staff membersDeveloping and/or reviewing policies, methods, practices, and proceduresReviewing programs for conformance with Department standardsSupports, oversees and coordinates engineering production activities for an operating unitMakes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritativeInitiates and maintains contact with senior‑level management within the company and is skilled in dispute resolution and negotiation of critical issuesSupervision received is essentially administrative with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limitsUnder minimal supervision, performs complex duties utilizing advanced techniques and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and methodsAssumes lead responsibilities for a team of engineers and professional support staffQualifications Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationValid US Driver's License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.
