    What You’ll Do

    • Execute day-to-day construction inspection and testing—field coordination, measurements, reporting, and mentorship—to keep projects compliant and on schedule.
    • Support Project Managers across the project cycle; manage assigned tasks efficiently to meet goals.
    • Record, measure, and verify quantities; review Requests for Payment/Invoices and approve sign‑offs.

    • Attend and, when needed, conduct progress meetings to discuss status and resolve problems.
    • Inspect roadway materials and confirm conformance to owner specifications and approved submittals; perform concrete, asphalt, and soils testing.
    • Create and approve contract change orders based on field modifications; draft newsletters on project status/progress.
    • Consult with supervisors to plan acceptance testing and evaluate field conditions; escalate issues promptly.
    • Report maintenance problems at the project site and collaborate on timely resolution; respond to client suggestions and complaints.
    • Write staff reports, letters, and construction activity reports as needed; practice ethical engineering standards.
    • Pursue ongoing training and self‑education to stay current with industry trends; perform other duties as assigned.
