THIS ROLE WILL TRAIN ON 1ST SHIFT FOR 60-90 DAYS BEFORE MOVING TO 2ND SHIFT.

 Job Description:

The Cell Lead is responsible for coordinating assembly operations across multiple production lines in accordance with the Magpul production schedule. The Cell Lead must maintain safe working conditions, uphold quality standards, and maintain throughput goals. Additionally, this position will perform basic, cell-level supervision of Magpul production lines.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinates daily and weekly production based on the Magpul production schedule.
  • Monitors material flow to the production area; accounts for scrap and unused material; works with the Materials group to ensure accurate inventory on the production floor. 
  • Monitors the safety practices of departmental employees and ensures safe practices are followed in all areas.
  • Corrects all unsafe situations and acknowledges safe behavior.
  • Identifies and elevates conflict before it becomes seriously detrimental to the organization.
  • Meets or exceeds production and productivity requirements.
  • Responsible for new and ongoing employee training across lines within the cell.
  • Responsible for development and mentoring of Line Leads and backup personnel. 
  • Coordinates multiple priorities. 
  • Ability to perform basic data entry functions within the Magpul ERP system.
  • Ability to recognize achievements and opportunities within the lines.
  • Understands and enforces Magpul quality requirements.
  • Ability to be fully cross-trained in the production area of responsibility with a willingness to assist where needed in the production system.
  • Continually evaluate process to reduce waste and add value.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment (temperature changes, dust, equipment, etc.).
  • Ability to sit, and/or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • A minimum of 1 year in a high-volume assembly environment in a lead role preferred.
