Cell Technician – 2nd Shift

Position Overview

Our team is seeking a skilled and dependable Cell Technician to join our manufacturing team in Mentor, Ohio. The Cell Technician will perform a variety of simple to complex assembly and testing operations with minimal supervision. This position is responsible for assembling products to established procedures and specifications, operating testing equipment, performing dimensional inspections, and ensuring completed assemblies meet customer and quality requirements.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, comfortable working with tools and measuring equipment, and able to read and interpret assembly drawings, procedures, and work instructions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of approved assembly techniques in accordance with established procedures.
• Read, interpret, and follow assembly drawings, work instructions, procedures, and specifications.
• Operate required testing equipment and verify equipment calibration prior to use.
• Perform test audits and accurately record required readings and results.
• Use gages and measuring equipment to verify dimensional requirements and ensure assemblies meet specifications.
• Identify irregular or non-conforming assemblies and make appropriate adjustments when authorized.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tooling as required.
• Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet production requirements and ensure necessary tooling and hardware are available.
• Assist or instruct other team members with daily activities when needed.
• Develop proficiency with new processes, equipment, tools, and unfamiliar assignments.
• Maintain consistent quality and productivity while following established procedures.
• Follow all applicable safety rules, policies, and manufacturing requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and FOD-free work area.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• US Person Status required.
• Ability to read, write, and understand work instructions, procedures, and assembly drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good manual dexterity and ability to perform hands-on assembly work.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness and ability to learn new processes, equipment, and manufacturing techniques.
• Reliable transportation and ability to consistently work the assigned 2nd-shift schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Previous mechanical, electromechanical, production, assembly, inspection, or testing experience.
• Experience using measuring equipment, gages, or other inspection tools.
• Experience working from blueprints, engineering drawings, or detailed work instructions.
• Experience operating manufacturing or testing equipment.

Schedule & Compensation

2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM

Pay:

• $21.60/hour for candidates with less than 1 year of relevant experience
• Up to $22.75/hour for candidates with stronger relevant experience

$750 Sign-On Bonus

• $250 paid after 30 days of employment
• Remaining $500 paid after 6 months of employment

Interview & Selection Process

Qualified candidates will be invited to an onsite interview.

Interview Day: Thursday
Check-In: 9:00–9:30 AM
Facility Tour: 9:30–10:00 AM
Interview: 10:00 AM–12:00 PM

Candidates must arrive between 9:00 and 9:30 AM. No candidates will be accepted after the 9:30 AM check-in deadline.

During check-in, candidates will complete a shortened application and a brief 5–10 minute assessment.

Dress Code: Business casual with safety or closed-toe shoes.

Candidates must:

• Be specifically committed to working 2nd shift, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM.
• Have reliable transportation to the Mentor facility.
• Have a stable employment history. Candidates with frequent job changes every 1–2 years may not be considered.
• Have their education verified prior to interview.
• Submit the required US Person/Citizenship Form with their resume.
• Bring appropriate identification to the interview.
• Be willing to complete the required pre-employment screening, including criminal, employment, education, and drug screening.
• Confirm that they do not now or in the future require visa sponsorship.
