POSITION OVERVIEW

Dragonfly Cares is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide culturally responsive, work in the Melville center to provide support to children with autism and developmental disabilities in structured social groups. This role is ideal for a BCBA who is passionate about reaching diverse families and bridging language barriers to deliver exceptional care at the Melville Center Saturday and/or Sunday. This position does have the potential of weekday mornings as we continue to grow. The hourly rate range for this role would be $70-80/hr based on experience in the field.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead and facilitate structured social groups in a supportive and engaging environment.
  • Implement evidence-based teaching strategies (modeling, role-play, prompting, reinforcement, and natural environment teaching).
  • Promote positive peer interactions and appropriate social behaviors.
  • Support participants in practicing and generalizing skills across different activities and settings.
  • Train and supervise Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) or BTs assisting with social groups.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and performance monitoring to ensure high-quality implementation of interventions.
  • Communicate regularly with caregivers regarding participant progress
  • Provide recommendations and strategies for supporting social skills development at home and in the community.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in ABA, or related field
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst(REQUIRED)/LBA required or in process
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities in school setting)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of behavior intervention strategies and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and also in a collaborative environment
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (BONUS POINTS)

  • Familiarity with ABA-based therapy platforms and electronic data collection tools
  • Fluency in additional languages beyond English and Spanish
