As a Center Director Trainee, you won’t just be supervising a lobby you are entering an elite, fast-track operational program. Your explicit goal in this role is to transition into the Center Director role, taking full ownership of center performance, driving financial growth, and earning lucrative profit-sharing incentives into the six-figure total pay range.
The Ideal Profile
We don't hire textbook retail managers; we hire local sales and community champions who are often already well know in the community for their involvement in education and community work within the city we serve or are an established B to C sales professional with experience selling to high income young families. You will bring your existing relationships with area schools or dementate the ability to make and maintain school relationships. This role is primarily a sales role and requires advanced sales acumen and/or exceptional interpersonal skills. You must love the energy of working around children and families daily. We look for a unique blend of:

- High Emotional Intelligence: The ability to turn a stressed parent into a raving fan of our center.
- Tech Fluency: Comfort navigating modern relationship management platforms, customer databases, social media platforms and automated follow-up systems to keep the business organized.
Key Responsibilities
- Enrollment Sales: Manage the parent journey from initial inquiry to enrollment. Must be willing to be tenacious at dialing 25+ outbound prospective family calls every shift. You will actively develop your sales skills, handle center tours, overcome pricing objections, and confidently articulate the value of our program.
- Tech-Driven Relationship Management: Utilize our suite of communication and CRM tools (including lead tracking, scheduling, and digital parent engagement platforms) to ensure no family falls through the cracks.
- Community Outreach & School Partnerships: Act as the face of the brand in your city/territory. You will build relationships at local schools, farmers markets, community festivals, attend PTA events, and establish our community presence.
- Team & Floor Leadership: Learn to lead, schedule, and motivate a team of part-time instructors to ensure the highest quality educational environment during instruction hours.
What We Are Looking For (Qualifications)
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in sales, customer success or hospitality management.
- The "Hometown Advantage" (Highly Preferred): Established experience working with school administrations, PTAs, or teachers in the local area. Active ties or prior experience within local public, private and charter school networks.
- Growth Mindset: A strong desire to scale within an organization. We are actively looking for future District Managers as our franchise network expands.
- Availability: Ability to work standard learning center hours (typically mid-afternoon through early evening Monday–Thursday, plus weekend morning/afternoon blocks at farmers markets and community festivals as needed).

In compliance with California labor laws, this training position is classified as hourly/non-exempt to ensure accurate compensation for all hours worked, including overtime, during your onboarding phase. Upon promotion to Center Director, the role transitions to a salaried/exempt executive framework meeting CA salary threshold requirements.
