Are you passionate about supporting educators, partnering with families, and creating an environment where children can thrive? Join our team as a Center Director who oversees the daily operations of one of EOCF's Full Day/Full Year centers, ensuring high-quality services for children and families. Through strong leadership, staff development, and meaningful family partnerships, this position helps create an environment where children feel safe, supported, and ready to succeed in school and beyond. The Center Director supervises and coaches staff, coordinates center operations, monitors compliance with licensing and program requirements, supports family engagement, and uses data and continuous improvement practices to promote positive outcomes for children, families, and staff.Compensation & ScheduleThis role is scheduled for 40 hours per week and operates year-round. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, day-time hours, with some availability needed in the early morning and evenings dependent on staff/site needs.This benefitted position has an hourly wage of $31.37.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.Preferred ExperienceTwo years of consistent paid experience teaching groups of children birth to five years of age in an early childhood setting. Six months of consistent paid supervisor experience. * Bi-lingual highly desired.Knowledge ofChild development, developmentally appropriate practices, and early childhood curriculum planning for children birth through age five.Early childhood education best practices and strategies that promote high-quality learning environments.Adult learning principles and effective coaching techniques to support employee growth and professional development.Positive guidance strategies, behavior intervention practices, and conflict resolution techniques for children and adults.Child developmental assessments and the use of assessment data to support individualized learning and continuous program improvement.Health, nutrition, safety, and licensing regulations applicable to early childhood education programs.Federal, state, and agency standards and regulations, including Head Start (HS), Early Head Start (EHS), ECEAP, Washington Administrative Code (WAC), CLASS, MyTeachingStrategies (MTS), ECERS, USDA, Merit, and ELMS preferred.Principles of staff supervision, performance management, and professional development.Ability toLead, coach, supervise, and develop staff while fostering a positive, and collaborative work environment.Deliver constructive feedback, conduct performance evaluations, and address performance concerns professionally and effectively.Build positive relationships and communicate effectively with children, families, staff, community partners, and individuals from diverse backgrounds.Organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.Interpret and apply policies, procedures, licensing requirements, and program regulations to ensure compliance and high-quality service delivery.Monitor classroom quality, curriculum implementation, and program performance using observations, assessments, and data to support continuous improvement.Resolve conflicts professionally and exercise sound judgment when making decisions in a fast-paced environment.Prepare accurate reports, maintain documentation, and ensure timely completion of required records and data entry.Use Microsoft Office applications and other technology systems to support communication, reporting, scheduling, and recordkeeping.Work independently while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams and community partners to support children and families.Educational Opportunities for Children and Families (EOCF) is an EEOC compliant employer
