Department Summary

Chief Purpose of this position: The Center for Team Care CTC is a workforce wellness initiative within the VCU Health system to deliver high-value, comprehensive, and concierge-like primary care to VCU Health employees and dependents. The CTC is seeking experienced primary care physicians who can deliver high-quality, high-value care with a focus on population management and uncompromising patient experience. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a busy primary care practice with a focus on value-based or concierge care. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering care in a holistic and lifestyle-grounded approach.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary care physician to a complex panel of patients delivering high-quality acute and episodic care, chronic disease management, and wellness care. • Be part of an interdisciplinary team to manage the preventive needs of a population of patients, in addition to complying with billing documentation, credentialing, and other administrative requirements.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine • At least 3-5 years of post-residency experience managing a complex patient panel in a busy primary care clinic • Eligible for Virginia Medical Licensure • Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in value-based care or concierge care • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Experience working on an interdisciplinary team to manage a patient population • Experience working or supervising APPs • Experience or interest in working with pediatrics • Experience in lifestyle medicine
