Position: Central Enrollment and School Of Choice Coordinator

Location: Lamphere Schools

Work schedule: 12 months - Full Time

Pay Rate: 47,000 - negotiable based on experience

Position Details: Manage all Junior Kindergarten - 12 grade student enrollment processes including resident and school of choice students. Provide support to pupil accounting and other district departments as necessary. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of MiStar functions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Preference given to candidates with post-secondary education
  • Knowledge of school district pupil accounting practices
  • Experience with pupil accounting reports, grants associated with pupil accounting and data entry for pupil accounting, preferred
  • Preference given to candidates with experience in student database software and other reporting applications
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately complete and submit state, county and district reports
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, prioritization, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Adobe Suite, Office Suite, Google Workspace, Canva and various other office technology and systems including a comprehensive understanding of MIStar
  • Accurate keyboarding skills
  • Demonstrated recordkeeping, data input and digital filing skills
  • Ability to compose and generate various forms of communication
  • Demonstrated ability to promote good public relations with students, staff, parents and community
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge and ability to maintain website information
  • Strong customer service skills and experience
  • Punctual and strong attendance record
  • Withstand the strains of the position
  • Self-starter who takes initiative on tasks and projects

Responsibilities:

  • Manage district enrollment (resident and school of choice) for Junior Kindergarten â grade 12
  • Greet parents and community
  • Receive and assist guests who visit the Board Office
  • Communicate enrollment requirements with parents
  • Receive and verify enrollment requirements are complete
  • Notify parents of missing enrollment documentation
  • MIStar System Administrator
  • Maintain school enrollment spreadsheets
  • Create and maintain acceptance letters
  • Maintain applications for elementary transfers and K-12 schools of choice requests
  • Log enrollment information into MIStar
  • Scan documents into student management systems
  • Request records from previous schools
  • Add students to individual school MCIR (Michigan Care Improvement Registry)
  • Update student address and proof of residency as needed
  • Assist the Pupil Accountant with completion of pupil accounting tasks including county and state pupil accounting reports and audits
  • Maintain accurate information on the enrollment pages of the district web-site
  • Stay current on pupil accounting requirements
  • Communicate effectively with building administration and office staff regarding student enrollment including resident and school of choice students
  • Serve as a positive public relations advocate for the school district, including dissemination of district information
  • Collaborate effectively with others to complete short and long-term tasks
  • Other duties as assigned

Employment is contingent upon disclosure in accordance with PA-189.

Ability to withstand the strains and successfully manage the responsibilities of the position.

Must demonstrate reliability and punctuality, with a strong record of consistent attendance. Regular and dependable presence during school hours is essential.
