Title:SPS Central Office Administrative Clerk

Reports to:Director of Student Services and Assistant Superintendent

Location:Central Office

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Director of Student Services and the Assistant Superintendent, the Central Office Administrative Clerk will assist in the management of all Student Services and Teaching and Learning related operations. This Central Office Administrative Clerk will assume primary responsibility for executing a host of ongoing department functions. Additionally, this position will have workflow tasks that support the ebb and flow of duties such as document editing, revision and tracking, purchase orders, grant support, and other general Central Office Department tasks as necessary.

The schedule will be comprised as follows, however it may be modified at the discretion of the Department Directors, according to work demands of Central Office Departments:

.6 FTE - Student Services Department (3 days per week) .4 FTE - Teaching and Learning Department (2 days per week)

Additional Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required;
  • Administrative assistant experience or equivalent;
  • Strong interpersonal skills (telephone/in person/email);
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments;
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism;
  • Attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Effective organizational skills;
  • Ability to analyze information and problem-solve;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong proofreading/editing skills;
  • Strong internet/research skills;
  • Self-directed, ability to work independently;
  • Flexibility and ability to work as part of a team;
  • Proficiency with the following web-based platforms and software: Google Docs, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
  • Knowledge of internal website maintenance and student databases; e.g. Aspen.

Work Year: 12 months Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:30am - 4:00pm with a ½ hour unpaid lunch Salary: Commensurate with experience Hiring is contingent upon a successful CORI and fingerprinting clearance. Resumes will be reviewed upon receipt and the positions will remain open until filled.
