Rack, mount, power, ground, cable and label new customer-provided network equipment.
Support network migrations, equipment swaps and cutovers.
Perform post-installation documentation and connectivity validation.
Follow customer engineering standards, MOPs, safety procedures and change-control requirements.
Travel between assigned Central Office locations in Virginia and Pennsylvania.
What We're Looking For
Hands-on experience working in telecommunications Central Offices, carrier wire centers or similar carrier facilities.
Strong knowledge of Central Office equipment, racks/bays, shelves, cards, ports, patch panels and cross-connects.
Experience tracing telecom circuits, cables and connections.
Ability to read engineering records, equipment lists, rack elevations and network documentation.
Experience working safely around live production telecom equipment.
Central Office equipment installation experience including rack & stack, cabling, power and grounding.
Ability to accurately document field conditions using Excel or electronic field tools.
Willingness to travel among assigned project sites.
