Position: Central Processing Technician
Location: Moreno Valley, CA
Pay: Best in Market (Competitive Pay)
Shift:
Days: 10:00am - 6:30pm| Alternating Weekends

Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Central Processing Technician to join our healthcare team in Moreno Valley. In this essential role, you will help ensure the safe processing, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment that support exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Decontaminate, clean, inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment.

  • Prepare, wrap, scan, and distribute sterile instrument trays.

  • Monitor biological and chemical indicators to ensure proper sterilization processes.

  • Sort and organize instrument sets while maintaining adequate inventory levels.

  • Restock supplies and distribute instruments, trays, crash carts, and medical equipment throughout the facility.

  • Verify equipment functionality and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  • Follow infection control standards, Standard Precautions, and departmental policies.

  • Communicate effectively with clinical staff and team members to ensure quality patient care.

Qualifications

  • Sterile Processing Certification preferred, but not required.

  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

  • Previous sterile processing or healthcare experience is preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

  • Frequent reaching, bending, and repetitive movements.

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 100 lbs.

  • Comfortable working around chemicals, blood/body fluids, and other healthcare-related environmental exposures while following all safety protocols.
