The location will be on campus within the School of Dentistry. Brief job summary- Receive, process, and issue dental instruments; cassettes, dental supplies and equipment through the Dental Center Central Services Units. Utilize computerized accounting system, maintain physical inventory, and order material. Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of all work areas. Preference in being certified as a Central Service Technician or has working knowledge of: - Basic microbiology - Fundamentals of cleaning - Steam and dry heat sterilization - Ethylene Oxide sterilization and aeration - Chemical disinfection - Sterilization quality assurance and sterile storage standards - Packaging and shelf life - Preparation of external solutions - Infection control - Safety and preventive maintenance - Infection control with supply distribution - Work simplification
