Full-Time | $70,000-$80,000 per year DOE | Benefits

City View Post Acute is seeking an organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Central Supply Manager to oversee the facility's medical and general supply inventory. This position plays an important role in ensuring that essential supplies are available, properly stocked, and distributed efficiently to support resident care and the day-to-day operations of the facility.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing inventory, purchasing, vendors, and supply costs in a skilled nursing environment.

General Purpose

The Central Supply Manager is responsible for managing the facility's medical and general supply inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, tracking, and distributing supplies. This position works closely with nursing leadership and other departments to ensure adequate supply levels while supporting cost-effective purchasing and inventory management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Order, receive, organize, and stock central supply items, including briefs, gloves, gowns, wound care supplies, over-the-counter medications, and other essential items.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure supplies are organized, labeled, and readily accessible.
  • Monitor inventory levels and establish appropriate PAR levels to prevent shortages and unnecessary overstock.
  • Monitor supply usage and identify trends, overuse, waste, or opportunities for cost savings.
  • Communicate supply concerns, shortages, and purchasing needs to nursing and facility leadership.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient central supply area.
  • Distribute supplies to nursing units and other departments throughout the facility as needed.
  • Coordinate with department leaders to understand supply needs and ensure timely availability of requested items.
  • Research and recommend new products, vendors, or ordering systems that may improve efficiency, quality, or cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain the supply budget and monitor expenditures.
  • Review pricing and identify opportunities to reduce supply costs without compromising resident care or quality.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Process and track purchase orders and deliveries.
  • Understand basic vendor agreements and contract terms.
  • Utilize computer systems and ordering platforms to manage purchases and maintain inventory records.
  • Verify deliveries for accuracy and report discrepancies, damaged products, or missing items.
  • Assist with audits and maintain appropriate documentation related to purchasing and inventory.
  • Work collaboratively with Nursing, Administration, Dietary, Environmental Services, Rehabilitation, and other departments.
  • Ensure supplies are stored appropriately and in accordance with facility policies and applicable regulations.
  • Perform other supply-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • Prior experience in central supply, inventory management, purchasing, materials management, or supply coordination in a healthcare or skilled nursing setting preferred.
  • CNA certification preferred but not required.
  • Experience working in a skilled nursing facility, hospital, rehabilitation center, or other healthcare environment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with medical supplies and healthcare purchasing preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory or ordering systems.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple requests and manage deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with facility departments.
  • Professional, dependable, and service-oriented approach.
