This position is essential in the daily operations of the school and promotes a positive environment for students, families, staff, and community members who visit it.Required Qualifications:• High school diploma or equivalent• At least four years of office experience• Ability to lead office staff and facilitate a positive office culture• Successful experience working with school age children• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, possess awareness (for self and others), listen actively, be patient, incorporate humor/lightheartedness into work, be empathic, and be customer-service oriented• Demonstrated ability to use general office equipment• Ability to maintain confidentiality, work independently and in a team setting, and effectively problem-solve• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families• Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive attitude• Ability to interpret policies, procedures, laws, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements and apply them appropriately• Ability to support implementation of the District's vision, mission, goals, and Culture Code, including the belief that all students can succeed• Ability to support the principal in implementation of programs and priorities• Ability to obtain first aid and CPR training within the first six months of employment• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations• A commitment to student-centered practices by upholding high expectations, fostering collaboration, and supporting the academic and personal success of all students• Promotion of an inclusive and respectful learning environment that values the unique strengths, needs, and aspirations of every student while contributing positively to the school community and district missionPreferred Qualifications:• Ability to communicate proficiently in Spanish• Experience using Skyward, Microsoft Office products, Google Products and managing website and social media accounts• An understanding of ASB rules and regulationsEssential Functions:• Sets the tone for a positive tone and environment for office and school07/24/2023• Greets students, staff, families, and community members when they enter the building• Answers phones, emails, and written correspondences from a variety of stakeholders• Communicates with administrators, staff, students, families, and external providers to provide needed services to students• Maintains office and building supplies by monitoring inventory and purchasing when appropriate• Ensures all needed absences are filled and supports substitutes for classified and certificated staff• Works in Skyward to manage student data including enrollment/transfer information, and free and reduced lunch applications• Manages employee data including absences and payroll data• Orients substitute employees and volunteers to building procedures• Manages the school's social media pages and website• Establishes and maintains productive, positive, healthy relationships with students, staff, and families• Provides basic first aid to students• Coordinates events such as family nights, assemblies, and staff development trainings by ordering food, preparing presentation spaces, ensuring all appropriate paperwork is completed, monitoring building keys and building usage, and effectively communicating expectations• Coordinates a variety of programs such as after school meal access, breakfast after the bell, and other projects as assigned• Supervises students in office; help ensure students needing behavior support follow school behavior process• Provides clerical support to families and staff as appropriate• Provides secretarial support to the principal including, but not limited to maintaining their calendar, compiling data for reports, reviewing and composing correspondences, and taking meeting minutes• Attends trainings as directed• Other duties as assignedSalary: $26.17- $30.34 per hour, depending on qualificationsWork Schedule: 203 days per year (including 11 holidays) 7.0 hours per day Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.Benefits: 11 paid holidays; 12 sick days and 3 personal leave days; health benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and long-term disability insurance through SEBB; State retirement through DRS; other fringe benefits as allowed under the Full-Time Collective Bargaining Agreement.Application Procedures: Anyone interested in this position should apply through EdJobsNW by completing the application and uploading a resume, cover letter, and three professional references AND submit a letter of interest the Executive Director of Human Resources at samitchell@centralia.wednet.edu.
