High school diploma or equivalent Ability to perform job functions in line with OSHA-WISHA standards Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, possess awareness (for self and others), listen actively, be patient, incorporate humor/lightheartedness into work, be empathic, and be customer-service oriented Ability to operate buffing machines, scrubbers, vacuums, and other cleaning equipment Ability to readily evaluate and respond to building needs Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations. Working knowledge of general building maintenance and system operations Successful experience as a custodian, janitor, or work experience in a related field Ability to speak Spanish Successful experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds Successful experience working with or volunteering with adolescents 26-27 substitute salary rates are $22.58 for the first 30 days of work and then $26.57 per hour after the first 30 days.
