Centralized Intake Associate (2nd shift)

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Accurately sets up claims in the claims management system by collecting, verifying, and adding essential information received via email or verbal communication. This role serves as a vital link between the client and Sedgwick, ensuring timely and accurate claim initiation, which lays the foundation for excellent service delivery.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reviews incoming emails to identify and gather necessary claim details.
  • Inputs claim information into the system according to organizational protocols.
  • Verifies the completeness and accuracy of submitted documents.
  • Assigns claims using provided tools, including the "All Clients List" and specialized spreadsheets to identify the appropriate client, apply special instructions, and determine claim-specific coding requirements such as office code.
  • Collaborates with relevant parties to gather necessary claim information and ensure accurate setup.
  • Maintains quality by accurately following client-specific set-up instructions and ensuring all required data is correctly entered. This includes verifying client information in CTABS and ensuring acknowledgements are sent to the appropriate parties.
  • Documents meeting minutes as needed to ensure accurate record-keeping and follow-up.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Licensing

High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience

Two (2) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
  • Analytical and interpretive skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to create and complete comprehensive, accurate and constructive written reports
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
