Primary Function/General Purpose of Position


Responsible for maximizing the potential of the automated nurse scheduling program, maintaining accurate data in scheduling and payroll systems, and working with Managers to create and generate work schedules for all unit staff. Responsible for coordinating the scheduling of associates to meet unit and individual needs while maintaining the integrity of the schedule. Collaborate with the PRN staff, students, and the Mobile Resource Pool, as needed, to assist with pre-assignments and scheduling.


Essential Job Functions


+ Create and Coordinate schedules for unit employees per service line as assigned. This will include maintaining a positive working relationship with Clinical Managers, Administrative Supervisors, associates and others in daily and long-term scheduling to cover staffing needs for each unit.


+ Responsible for resourcing labor to cover call-in’s and sick calls for the facility. This mayinclude flexible hours to meet consistently changing needs.


+ Create audit reports and analyze data to maintain the integrity of the for-Nursing Units systemwide. May create other reporting as needed, including licensure, BLS certification and department transfers.


+ Create, track and maintainaccurate scheduling records through entering data in automatedscheduler.


+ Key schedules as assigned by Supervisor. Check open shifts to ensure they are correct.


+ Ensure payroll is accurate by checking time punches and communicating with teammate concerning missed punches or errors. Ensure labor hours are charged to the correct cost centers.


+ Assists with department specific orientation for new hires and students, providing support in onboarding and evaluations.
