The role integrates clinical operations, informatics, technology, and financial systems to identify, collect, process, analyze and manage data and information to drive administrative practice, improve efficiency and enhance productivity in order to improve financial and operational performance. The role requires a complete understanding of factors influencing clinical operations in a health care system, as well as having the subsequent ability to improve service value and financial performance across nursing throughout the system.
