Job Description

Position Summary:

The Chief Executive Officer provides strategic leadership and management of the company, business divisions, and administrative departments. The CEO reviews and approves division and departmental policies, procedures, and practices to help ensure the integrity of the business. The CEO develops strategic partnerships and functional working relationships with hospitals, health care clinics, financial institutions, lenders, competitors, state regulators, and vendors. The CEO oversees business division and departmental management and employees as needed. The CEO identifies and manages business risks.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Recruits, hires, develops and manages high quality business division directors and department managers.
  • Oversees the firm's compliance with federal, state and local laws, regulations and clinical practices.
  • Assists in maximizing and optimizing the company's utilization of clinicians and administrative staff.
  • Reviews division and departmental performance versus goals and recommends corrective actions.
  • Collaborates with other senior management team to help identify, prepare for, and capture new opportunities.
  • Reviews and fosters external referral partnerships and ensures adequate health care services are provided.
  • Oversees the successful completion of company's and division's state agency filings.
  • Analyzes the company's profit and loss and reviews clinical, staff and financial forecasts.
  • Maximizes and reduces company expenditures and helps evaluate and contract with new vendors.
  • Helps direct company operations.
  • Reviews all information and data necessary for strategic decisions and business division guidance.
  • Reviews and enforces the company's clinical and administrative policies, procedures and practices.
Knowledge, Education, Experience:
  • 15+ years' experience in behavioral health care, chemical dependency services, and division or department management.
  • Master's degree in social work, Psychology, Mental Illness, Business, or related area.
  • Knowledge and a thorough understanding of the health care environment.
Employment Status: Full-Time

Schedule: Exempt

Work Location: On-Site in Houston

Compensation: Pay Range: $180,000 - $215,000/annually
